I let my breathing settle down before I started meditating.

Flash fiction month 2015, day 13. No challenge. I was supposed to do Four Seasons: Arya Deinden for today, but as I had feared already, it got so long that it couldn't possibly be a flash fiction as a whole without cutting essential stuff. So, taking some light inspiration from this music prompt I made this, challenging myself to do a 55-word flash fiction. The narrator of Search of Hideout wants to still stay unnamed, but nevertheless he wants to share the recurring nightmare that came to haunt him after the Empire rose and f***ed up the life of him and everyone else.
